Terms of Service
Last updated:
These terms are the agreement between you and us (see section 1) for using the GuildInn website at guildinn.app and its subdomains. Please read them before you create an account. How we handle your personal data is explained separately, in our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
GuildInn is run by Anastasios Chondrogiannis, a private individual based in Greece ("we", "us"). GuildInn is a free fan project. It is not run as a business and we earn no money from it.
Contact: hello@guildinn.app
2. Accepting these terms
You accept these terms when you tick the box on the registration page and create an account. If you do not agree with them, please do not create an account.
3. Who can use GuildInn
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to create an account. By creating one, you confirm that you are.
4. Your account
- Register with an email address that is yours and that you can read. We use it to verify your account, to let you reset your password, and to contact you about the service.
- Your account is for you alone. Do not share it, and do not create accounts for other people.
- Keep your password secret. If you think someone else knows it or has used your account, change your password and tell us at hello@guildinn.app.
5. What GuildInn offers
GuildInn is a website for World of Warcraft players. Today it offers an account and an optional newsletter. We are building more, and these terms will be updated as new features arrive.
GuildInn is free. We provide it as it is and as available: we do our best to keep it running and secure, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, without interruptions or free of errors. We may need to take it offline for maintenance, updates or security reasons.
We may change, add or remove features, for example to improve GuildInn, for security, or because a provider or the law requires it. If we decide to close GuildInn for good, we will tell registered users by email, giving reasonable notice, unless we have to close it sooner for reasons outside our control (for example a legal requirement or a provider shutting down).
6. Acceptable use
When you use GuildInn, do not:
- break the law, or help anyone else do so,
- try to get into accounts or data that are not yours,
- attack, overload or disrupt the website, or try to get around its security or its limits (for example on login attempts),
- create accounts automatically, or in bulk,
- use GuildInn to send spam, for example by triggering our emails to addresses that are not yours,
- pretend to be someone else.
7. Closing or suspending an account
You can close your account at any time, free of charge, by emailing hello@guildinn.app from the email address of your account. Our Privacy Policy explains what we delete and when.
We may suspend or close your account if:
- you seriously or repeatedly break these terms,
- the law or a public authority requires it, or
- it is needed to protect GuildInn, its users or others from harm, for example from an attack.
We will tell you why by email, unless the law or security reasons prevent it. You can reply to tell us your side, and we will review our decision. If you are under the minimum age in section 3, we will close your account.
When your account is closed, this agreement ends. Sections 10 and 12 still apply to anything that happened before.
8. Newsletter
The newsletter is optional and separate from your account. You can subscribe once you have verified your email address, and unsubscribe at any time with the link in any newsletter email or by emailing us. Our Privacy Policy explains how it works.
9. Our content and Blizzard
The GuildInn name, logo, design, texts and our own code belong to us. The open-source software and fonts the website uses keep their own licences. You may use the website for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please do not copy or reuse our name, logo, design or texts for anything else without asking us.
World of Warcraft, Warcraft and Blizzard Entertainment are trademarks or registered trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. GuildInn is a fan project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment.
10. Liability
GuildInn is a free service, run in our spare time. We are not responsible for:
- interruptions, delays or data loss caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as outages at our providers, internet failures or attacks,
- problems caused by your device, your internet connection or your email provider,
- harm caused by you breaking these terms.
Apart from this, we are liable as the law provides. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability, or any of your rights, that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude. If you are a consumer, you keep all the rights that consumer law gives you.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when we add or change features, when the law changes, or to make them clearer. We will change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell registered users by email, giving reasonable notice before it takes effect. If you do not agree with the change, you can close your account, free of charge. If you keep using your account after the change takes effect, the new terms apply to you.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Greek law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
If you have a problem, please contact us first at hello@guildinn.app. We will try to sort it out with you. If we cannot, you can take a dispute to the courts of Greece, or, if you are a consumer, to the courts where you live, as the law allows.
13. Other terms
- If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- If GuildInn moves to a business run by Anastasios Chondrogiannis, we may transfer this agreement to that business. We will tell you by email before it happens, and you can close your account if you do not agree.
